Jo Kingston

Based in the Chichester area of West Sussex, Jo uses ‘hands-on’ physiotherapy assessment tools and treatment techniques. This approach plays a valuable role in rehabilitation by addressing pain, restoring mobility, promoting healing, and improving overall physical function and well-being.

Jo Kingston Physio Chichester West Sussex

Jo qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1987 from Kings College, London. She completed her post graduate training at Charing Cross Hospital and The London Chest Hospital before moving to South London and pursuing her special interest in Musculo-Skeletal Physiotherapy within the Bromley Hospitals Trust. She gained qualifications in Sports Injury Management and membership of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine, and later gained the Advanced Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine.

Qualifications

The hands-on approach to assessment and treatment with extensive manual handling, soft tissue mobilisation and joint manipulation, lead to her being one of the early Physiotherapists to train in the administering of Musculo-skeletal injections. During this period, she also worked as one of the team of Physiotherapists for England and GB Hockey. Whilst developing her career in the NHS and the Sports world, in 1996 Jo began working at her private clinic in the evenings. The practice grew and the team expanded and eventually became JK Physiotherapy Ltd in 2010.

Jo strongly believes in benefits of a ‘hands-on’ approach for assessment and treatment and the multiple benefits it brings to both Physio and patient. She has trained in the use of TECAR therapy (WINBACK) which is a ‘hands-on’ form of advanced electrotherapy to use for pain relief and for stimulation of the healing process.

Jo always endeavours to get to the route of your problem so will adapt her assessment both verbal and practical to fully understand your needs. She will then tailor your treatment plan to suit you.
